The hunting pack gathered around Amoux's dead body. His life-mate snarled at all the wolves around him and laid next to his dead body. She whined in sorrow and put her head on his back.
"I wonder what we did to make the Ancients do this to us." One wolf said, lowering his head. Fridolf trotted up.
"It is the pup. The pup who was born today, He was born on Christ's day, which makes his luck fatal." Fridolf snarled. He picked up some meat from the dead elk and walked away, The hunting pack did the same.
"Amoux's life mate, Come." Seff said, Amoux's life-mate whined and kept still.
"Leave me be, I will be with Amoux soon." She sa

Amoux walked up to the she-wolf.
"Before we go, I shall give you a name, We always called you by she-wolf, You know have the honour of being named." He said. He then lifted his left paw and placed it on her brown back.
"Your new name is Ardolf. Home loving wolf." He said, smiled, then walked away. Ardolf pricked her long, pointy ears up.
"May I come, oh great alpha?" She asked hopefully.
"I'm afraid you can't, young one, You have to look after Canagan." He said with a growl, Ardolf laid on her belly then turned over so she's lying on he back, This is a wolf's way of apologizing. Amoux snorted and joined the hunting group.

The young wolf was born on Christmas day, Wolves of different sizes, colours and breeds gathered around the she-wolf, As she washed her new born pup. The Alpha of the pack, Amoux which means eagle wolf in their language, snorted and poked his muzzle on the she-wolf's head. Then Amoux welcomed the new born pup into the pack by lifting his head in to a howl, The rest of the pack joined in.
Amoux's life-mate wuffed in approval.
"This young wolf will do well in our pack, being the son of a strong female wolf." She said at she placed her left front paw on to the new born pup's back.
